The Chinese Brush Painting Society has held annual exhibits at Gallery 21 in Spanish Village since the early nineties. Spanish Village is an arts center located in Balboa Park, San Diego's popular tourist attraction.
This long term experience with exhibits has provided both members and the Society with substantial skills in presenting high quality artwork in a gallery setting.
The 2014 exhibit at Gallery 21 was dedicated to founding member Percy Russell, who passed away earlier in that year. Percy's painting of "Old Tiger" was used to promote the exhibit. Old Tiger was Percy's artist name.
CBPS is deeply indebted to Percy for his long-term commitment to painting, exhibiting and mentoring.
